“… and the gates of hell will not overpower [My church].” (Matthew 16:18b)

The Church is the siege ramp set up against the stronghold of satan to release captives, heal the sick, and restore men to right relationship with God. No gate of hell can overpower the force of the Kingdom of God. For by the the will of God the Father, and in the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus the Christ leads men redeemed in blood to bear witness to a dying world that He has come to raise the dead and will come again to call the risen to everlasting life. It is by the majestic grace and mercy of the Triune God alone that the depths of hell will be purged of its bounty.
