Reflections on Matthew 11:20-24

“Then [Jesus] began to denounce the cities in which most of His miracles were done, because they did not repent.” (Matthew 11:20-24)

Miracles are great, but if they don’t lead to repentance and the forgiveness of sins they ultimately fail to achieve their purpose. For every miracle WORKED the gospel of the kingdom must be PREACHED. Confessing that Jesus is Lord and that He was risen from the dead on the third day is the ultimate goal of miracles, the ultimate goal of preaching, and the ultimate goal of supernatural signs and wonders.
